Très bel hôtel, mais quartier peu attractif
Très bel hôtel, mais quartier peu attractif L'hôtel en lui-même est très beau, avec une décoration recherchée et atypique.
La chambre est spacieuse, avec une vue panoramique sur la ville (nous étions au 18e étage).
La literie est exceptionnelle, et l'insonorisation permet un sommeil paisible.
La domotique facilite l'utilisation des équipements de la chambre (lumières, rideaux) et des espaces partagés (ascenseurs).
Le personnel à la réception et aux entrées (securité) a été cordial et efficace.
Nous avons pu bénéficier d'un "late check out" jusqu'à l'arrivée de notre taxi à 13h.
La station de métro "Old Street" est très proche.
Ma fille a eu un petit mot de félicitations et un "complimentary cake" pour son admission à l'université, c'était une très belle attention. Le quartier est malheureusement moins attractif et sécurisant qu'ailleurs, il reste trop éloigné des principales attractions touristiques. On prévoit de partir en ballade le matin et de rentrer le soir pour éviter les allers-retours.
Le petit déjeuner n'a rien de spécial, il est même très basique pour un hôtel de ce standing. La salle du petit déjeuner est une pièce trop étroite qui a des allures de hall de gare, les clients sont obligés de passer très près des autres tables pour se rendre au buffet, et les serveurs sont trop pressants pour faire signer la note au milieu du repas, c'est désagréable.
